HEAD OF PURCHASING DEPARTMENT

As the Head of Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for the disciplinary and technical management of the purchasing department, ensuring an optimal and efficient supply of materials to DreamYachtCharter and NavigareYachting (DY/NY). You will focus on implementing cost-reduction strategies, maintaining high-quality standards, and identifying opportunities for synergies and new product development. Your role will require close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to ensure the continuous improvement of procurement processes.

You will work under the hierarchical responsibility of the "Head of Business Development and Supply Chain" with a dotted line to the Global Head of Purchasing from the holding company. 

As Head of Purchasing Department, your tasks are as follows : 

  • Observation of national and international procurement markets. 
  • RFQ, comparison, and evaluation of offers for material, taking into account TCO, quality, delivery performance, and technology.
  • Cost reduction measures in accordance with an activity plan and targets.
  • Identify and realize cost potentials.
  • Developing the organization of relationships with suppliers.
  • Conclusion of supplier agreements, e.g., framework agreements, quality agreements, NDA, and COC.
  • Installation and implementation of regular supplier evaluations.
  • Continuous process improvement.
  • Assumption of special tasks.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in purchasing, preferably in strategic procurement, first leading experience. 
  • Product and process knowhow in the maritime industry. 
  • Strategic thinking and strong technical understanding. 
  • Business fluent in spoken and written English, French and/or Croatian. 

Nice to have

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s in Economics, commercial training, or technician with business/material management qualification.
  • Passion for the maritime industry. 
  • Digital skills : Word, Excel,  Power Point, Internet, Outlook...
