SAGE FUNCTIONAL ANALYST

Floreal, Mauritius

As a Sage functional analyst, your role will be to act as a subject matter expert, assisting the group in all Sage related projects, including but not limited to: techno-functional specifications, solution deployment, testing, maintenance and user support. You will work under the hierarchical responsibility of the group Finance transformation Manager.

As Functional analyst, your main tasks are as follows :

Sage Subject-matter expert:

  • Participate in the review of business processes and Sage integration challenges
  • Identify opportunities for Sage process improvement, automation, and standardization
  • Translate those opportunities into techno-functional solutions
  • Stay updated with Sage trends and best practices

Sage deployment, testing & maintenance:

  • Deploy Sage to additional group entities
  • Perform functional configuration in Sage (workflows, user access management, reportings, Sage automate & script, etc.)
  • Deploy & integrate cross functional modules: purchase, assets, debt, consolidation, inventory,
  • Collaborate with technical teams (architect, developers, etc.) whenever required
  • New interfaces: assists in data migration and fields mapping from legacy to Sage
  • Monitor & execute testing plan with key users
  • Monitor interface data integrity between legacy systems and Sage

Sage support / user community

  • Assist on daily basis the business users with the Sage functionalities
  • Promote Sage best practices / ensures that Sage is used up to its full potential
  • Develops and conducts end-user training of Sage business functions
  • Maintain a comprehensive set of Sage user manuals
  • Assist during IT audit

  • Extend similar knowledge & competencies to other group tools : Yooz, Spendesk, etc. 
  • Ensure the data integrity between systems and Sage 
  • Collaborate with technical teams

  • Drafting technical specifications 

Must Have

  • 5 years experience in ERP configuration, integration and interface techniques 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or IT-related discipline
  • Promote good practices within the company
  • Fluent in French and English 
  • Good level in accounting

Nice to Have

  • Being Sage Certified Technical Consultant is an advantage
  • Good summarizing skills
  • Building and monitoring interfaces skills
